Noah was a real trooper. He did amazing on the bus and just loves being around the guys. He thinks he's part of the team. He is... but more like a mascot :). I really enjoyed the opportunity to be with Dalton on the road but I was one worn out momma at the end of the weekend. Noah is quite the busy boy and I had to entertain him myself. Because we rode the bus, that also meant that we had to go to the rink when they did. So, finding ways to entertain Noah in an empty rink 2 hours before the game proved a little difficult. We did a lot of chasing up and down bleachers, trips to the coffee shop, playing hockey in the hallways, ect. But I wouldn't trade these moments with him for anything.
During the games, Noah loves to watch the guys play. It's one of the few times I can get him to sit still. This weekend in Calgary, we met some new friends that had a little boy, Judah, who was also 1 year old. Noah and Judah had a great time playing together... it was sweet to watch them interact.
Here are some pics from the weekend:
Naptime while mommy packed

Love this sweet boy
Some ice time with daddy... the highlight of his day :)
At one point Noah thought he needed 3 mini sticks... of course!

Morning reading with the boys
Amidst all the chaos, the Lord has really been reminding me again why we are here. Three different nights this week, we've had players call Dalton and ask to come over and talk. Some of the players aren't believers and are struggling with being at a Christian university and not even believing that there is a God, some are struggling through breakups, anger, and some have even lost friends recently to suicide. There are so many struggles being faced by the team right now, individually, and God desires to heal and work through all of those situations. Praying that we will be a light for Him in the midst of
darkness.Isaiah 58:11- "The Lord will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail."
